The very last resting place is filled with moments of contemplation. The magazine “AUSZEIT” dedicated a whole issue to the topic of death and how it puts more emphasis to life. I was in for a six page article focusing on the silent beauty of cemeteries. For this, I strolled over Leipzigs very own “Südfriedhof”, taking pictures with the first shades of autumn, as fall is the natural season for goodbyes and enhances the last breath of summer with a nostalgic warm glow. As cemeteries are a place for the living more than for the deceased, I followed this idea found myself musing about the deep stillness that catches your mood in places like this…The Magazine is out now available in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and online.
