WGT 2026: Art Loves Death Exhibition
WGT is almost here! This year’s program may be little more intimate, but not less powerful. The focus is on Saturday, 23 May, 2pm – 4pm, when readings will take place with Florentine Joop, together with Stefan Griep (forensic medicine) and Ingmar Jeßulat (poetry & music).
Together they will explore the anatomy of the muse “Death” unfolding an extraordinary three-part dialogue of music, conversation, and reading, surrounded by works by Holger Much, Florentine Joop and mine! 🖤
As always, I will be out and about meeting as many of you as I can and taking your portraits, thus not able to attend at the art show.

A Dark Salon on Becoming and Passing
A group exhibition exploring the beauty, darkness, and mythos of the human experience – featuring five unique artists from around the world.
Florentine Joop – haunting drawings & paintings
Florentine Joop lives in Potsdam and works as an author, illustrator, multimedia artist, and curator of extraordinary projects—alongside being a mother of four.
Through her art and her “Blood Dialogues” (created with Luci van Org), she breaks taboos with a voice that is humorous, feminist, and unflinchingly honest.
As the creative mind behind the salon, she shapes the program on stage. Her works can also be experienced in the accompanying exhibition.
Jea Pics – The Craft of Decay: Liturgie des Verfalls
Leipzig-based artist Jea Pics explores the space between nature and the supernatural. This time, she surprises with a three part series specially made for this exhibition. In her work, death is not an ending, but a transformation,as a state from which new life emerges.
Holger Much – mystical works inspired by folklore and printmaking traditions
A familiar face at Kunst liebt Mut, Holger Much returns this year with new works—presented on a larger scale than ever before. Based in Albstadt, he creates art using painting and traditional printmaking techniques. His imagery feels like dark folklore brought to life. As a counterpoint to his intricate paintings, his print series embrace clarity and structure—blending Art Nouveau with medieval influences into a distinctive, mystical visual language. High-quality prints of his work will also be available to purchase.
